Biography

Luis Tinoco (b. 1969, Lisbon) made his First Degree in composition at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa. He was then awarded with scholarships by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Centro Nacional de Cultura to complete a Masters degree in Composition at the Royal Academy of Music, in London. Presently, he's doing a PhD Music research at the University of York, with Prof. Nicola LeFanu.

The Miso Music Portugal is celebrating their 25th anniversary with a series of musical events and recitals, from the 13th to the 17th of April at the Instituto Franco-Português in Lisbon.
On the 14th, 9.00 p.m.,  at the Philippe Friedman Auditorium, the Sond'Ar-te Electric Ensemble conducted by Pedro Neves will give the World Première of Cadavre Exquis - 25 years / 25 Composers / 25 Minutes - a collective piece gathering 25 instrumental anniversary presents, offered to the Miso Music the composers Alexandre Delgado, Ângela Lopes, António Chagas Rosa, António de Sousa Dias, António Pinho Vargas, Bruno Gabirro, Cândido Lima, Carlos Caires, Christopher Bochmann, Clotilde Rosa, Isabel Soveral, Ivan Moody, João Madureira, João Pedro Oliveira, José Luís Ferreira, Luís Tinoco, Miguel Azguime, Patrícia Sucena de Almeida, Paula Azguime, Paulo Brandão, Paulo Ferreira-Lopes, Pedro Amaral, Pedro M. Rocha, Tiago Cutileiro and Vasco Mendonça.
