Biography

Luis Tinoco (b. 1969, Lisbon) made his First Degree in composition at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa. He was then awarded with scholarships by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Centro Nacional de Cultura to complete a Masters degree in Composition at the Royal Academy of Music, in London. Presently, he's doing a PhD Music research at the University of York, with Prof. Nicola LeFanu.

Spanish première for "The Delirium of My Desire" Print

Featured in the SMASH International Contemporary Music Festival, Luis Tinoco's, The Delirium of My Desire - a consequenza in memoriam Luciano Berio (for solo flute) will be given its Spanish première by Jose Maria Sáez-Ferríz.
The recital will take place on the 29th October | 8.30 p.m., at the Auditorio San Blas, in Salamanca.

This work - commissioned by the Remix Ensemble - was first performed by Stéphanie Wagner in Strasbourg, in September 2006.
